FINALLY done with school. Enjoying a new job, but still in the same city, at the same university, surrounded by itty bitties, but content. For now.

pretty much anything that's not super hard core...not a huge fan of rap or country, either. Here's just a few favs:, dandy warhols, living end, green day, old tori amos (even though she's mean), louis armstrong, ella fitzgerald, miles davis, leo kotke, leonard cohen, beck, strength in numbers, yann tiersen, cake, gorillaz, the proclaimers, the be good tanyas, yonder mountain string band, bela fleck, depeche mode, modest mouse, johnny cash, iron and wine, (some of) the postal service, greg brown, yada yada yada

ahh...movies. a brief sampling of my favorites:, stand by me, shawshank redemption, 200 cigarettes, amelie, one flew over the cuckoos nest, edward scissorhands, harold and maude, princess bride, clue, muppets take manhattan, 3 amigos, goonies, garden state, lost boys, monsters inc, so i married an ax murderer, you me and everyone we know, sin city, the producers, serenity, ghostbusters, back to the future, indiana jones, p of the c, v for vendetta, etc etc etc...give me a movie, and i will watch it. unless it's mr. and mrs. smith.

don't really watch tv...i watch the Red Dwarf Series as much as possible, but those are on DVDs..as well as invader zim. when i'm at my mom's place (they actually have a tv), i'll occassionally get sucked into an episode of smallville, that 70's show, or some home/body/dress/pet/child makeover reality show (gotta admit, the dog whisperer is pretty darn cool)

HARRY POTTER, ! yes, i'll admit it...they're addictive and i love 'em. i've also really enjoyed:, the book of lost things, the amazing adventures of kavalier and clay, middlesex, the giver, farenheit 451, the cats pajamas (basically anything bradbury), the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime, night, 1984, animal farm, in cold blood, the secret life of bees, stiff, the cats cradle, the bean trees, the good earth, jitterbug perfume, one flew over the cuckoos nest, the body, rita hayworth and the shawshank redemption, empire falls, and i can always turn to calvin and hobbes to cheer me up.
